Kelly Berry, LCSW

Kelly grew up in Virginia and graduated from James Madison University, with Bachelor’s Degrees in Music and Social Work. She completed her Master of Social Work at Indiana University, at Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis, Indiana.  While in graduate school Kelly was selected for a qualitative research assistantship.  She was licensed in 2000 in Indiana and by endorsement when she moved to Colorado in 2001. Kelly has a background of working in hospitals, education, nursing homes, community mental health, and private practice.

Kelly is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.

Kelly believes that counseling is a resource for becoming more of who we are and choose to be using challenges and experiences to weave a narrative of hope and healing. She is inspired by the courage of her clients and honored to work with them. She engages collaboratively with clients, by providing a safe and supportive place to identify goals, improve their lives, relationships and how they feel about themselves.

Kelly has training in and experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths Based, Solution Focused, Brief Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).

Kelly has a son, a puppy, and a cat. They love to be outdoors, hiking, biking, playing with and walking the puppy (again and again) and a bit of camping. Music of all genres restores and energizes her. She is amazed by and grateful for the musicians in our area.
