I am a licensed psychologist in Colorado (PSY3005) and earned my master’s and doctorate degrees in Counseling Psychology at Colorado State University. In order to become a psychologist, I completed pre-graduate training and practice under supervision, as well as at least 1500 hours of post-graduate clinical practice under supervision in order to qualify for that license to practice. I also passed relevant training and licensure exams, and maintain ongoing continuing education hours each year.
I have worked in a variety of settings and enjoy clinical work across the lifespan. My areas of emphasis include anxiety, trauma, child therapy, parenting, grief and loss, adjustment, stress management, and coping with health-related struggles.
My clinical style is rooted in a client-centered approach. Building upon a relational foundation, I implement evidence-based interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy interventions. I enjoy working with youth and their families and love to incorporate play-based intervention, movement, creativity, and humor into my clinical work. I am also proactive in working with parents/caregivers to positively impact the family system.
